Meet your Oaxaca Tour Expert
Trisha Velarmino has been doing her Oaxaca tour since 2020. She moved to Mexico in 2018 and has helped thousands of solo travelers, digital nomads, and expats to move and travel to Mexico. She has traveled to all 32 states of Mexico and is currently residing in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

A driver will pick you up at Oaxaca City International Airport at your arrival time. I will be in Oaxaca in the evening of day 0 so we can meet for dinner and do something together!
8:00 PM: Welcome dinner and drinks
Our only activity for this day is having dinner and drinks at a rooftop restaurant. This is our welcome party, where we will get to know each other and, at the same time, enjoy our first night in Oaxaca City!

9:00 AM – Oaxaca City Walking Tour
On this tour, we will visit famous landmarks, go to rooftops with the best views of the city, take colorful photos of the streets, go to photo spots, and more!

12:00 PM – Cooking classes with lunch and open bar mezcal
First, we will do a tour of the organic garden where we will get the ingredients for our cooking class. After which, we will start the mezcal tasting while chopping ingredients.

4:00 PM (Free time): Go back to the hotel to rest, shower, and prepare for the evening.
7:00 PM: Street food dinner: tlayuda
The first iconic street food that you should try is tlayuda. Tlayudas are like giant crispy tortillas, topped with a variety of savory ingredients that make for the perfect meal or snack any time of day.

9:00 PM (end of Day 2): Optional: depending on the group’s mood, some tour participants opt to go for more drinks near our hotel. This is entirely up to you, but I’ll recommend places near our hotel!
7:30 AM – Hierve El Agua Tour
We will drive to Hierve El Agua petrified waterfalls and will spend the whole afternoon there. First, we will stop for a local breakfast (comal tacos) before we start our Hierve El Agua tour.

4:00 PM (Free time): Go back to the hotel to rest, shower, and prepare for the evening.
7:00 PM – Dinner and mezcaleria hop
We will head to dinner in one of the best bars in North America and will have mezcal cocktails. After which, we will do a Mezcaleria hop.

9:00 PM (End of Day 3): All after dinner activities are optional but you can continue the night in nearby bars in our hotel.
7:30 AM – Mezcal tour and lunch
This day is exciting because we are going to the agave fields and learn about mezcal! First, we will go onboard a truck to go to the fields. In the field, you will learn about the different types of mezcal plants used in mezcal production.

4:00 PM (Free time): Go back to the hotel to rest, shower, and prepare for the evening.
8:00 PM: Jalatlaco dinner
We will go around Jalatlaco, one of the best neighbourhoods in Oaxaca City. We will stroll the streets and go for dinner.

9:00 PM (End of Day 4): All after dinner activities are optional but you can continue the night in nearby bars in our hotel.
9:00 AM: Colorful neighborhood photoshoot and farewell party
We will stroll to two of the most popular neighborhoods of Oaxaca City to take photos. Afterwards, we will have a farewell party in a restaurant serving ancestral Oaxacan dishes.

2:00 PM (Departure and end of Oaxaca Tour):You will be will be transported to anwyhere your want to be dropped off (i.e. airport or another destination).

We will stay in the Centro Historico, the safest area in Oaxaca City, within walking distance to all the important landmarks!
